Max…..my first born…..cannot believe this kid turns 7 today. Seems like just yesterday they were putting him into my arms. I remember that moment so vividly…thinking to myself…who is this stranger that is MINE!! It was of course love at first sight. This is a little homage to Max:
I love you so much Max….you are the one that made me a mommy…gave me the best job of all time. Opened my heart to love I could never imagine.
I love how you are always sweet to the younger kids…helping and ALWAYS including them…never leaving anyone behind.
I love how determined you are at all things. I have never seen a kid at such a young age have such incredible focus….you put so much pressure on yourself.
I love that you smart and love school and that one of your favorite things in the world is to read!!!
I love that you still want mommy to cuddle and will crawl into my lap (all 76 pounds of you) and sit with me.
I love that people call you the gentle giant…..it describes you perfectly. Not sure why or how you got to be over 100% in height…but you handle it so well
I love that you are obsessed with sports….as a sports addict myself….there has been nothing better than watching you light up at each baseball, football, soccer or basketball game that you play…you are awesome.
I love that you are sensitive and kind…that for your 7th birthday party you could not decide who to invite, so you invited almost everyone…including brothers and sisters…you did not want anyone to feel left out. How many 7 year olds would even consider the feelings of others.
I love that you look EXACTLY like daddy…those huge brown eyes will forever melt my heart.
I love that you know when I need a hug, extra help or just some time alone….you are so good at reading me.
I love that you have a huge heart….that you are compassionate and caring and a friend to everyone.
Being the first kiddo in a family is a lot of pressure. You handle it so well. You have had to step up and be the “man of the house” more times than I can count. You have watched your parents struggle and your mommy become overwhelmed and stressed beyond belief and you always know what to say or how to help and you are just a kid. You amaze me and I am not sure why or how you chose me to be your mommy, but I do know that I am the luckiest mom in the world to get to have you as my kid. You have a HUGE heart and are such a kind soul. I am SO proud of you Max…you are one of my very best accomplishments. I love you more than you could possibly imagine.
